  • britney-spears-3Britney Spears’ new single “3” is unmistakably about three-way sex and she acts out the song in her new video — not literally, of course.

But Britney is at her slinky best as she bumps and grinds through the song, wearing a white one-piece leotard that plunges to her navel.

Spears released the video Friday (Oct. 30) through Twitter. She wears a diminutive white outfit and gets it on with male and female dancers, not literally of course.

Britney recorded the song with hitmaker Max Martin, and it’s the lead single on her upcoming album Britney Spears The Singles Collection, which unbelievably celebrates her first 10 years in the music business.

The standard version of The Singles Collection will contain 17 of her chart-topping favorites along with the new song “3.” The deluxe fan box set will contain all 29 of her singles, including the new song “3.” Both will go on sale Nov. 24.

Each disc in the box set will be packaged in its own sleeve case with original artwork, and will include an additional b-side or a remix of the track.

The collection will also include a DVD featuring all of Britney’s videos in chronological order, and a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track.

Despite going through a personal and career meltdown in 2007 and 2008, Spears has bounced back under the direction of her father, who maintains a legal guardianship over her affairs.

She marked her comeback with “Womanizer” in late 2008. It was her first No. 1 album in almost a decade. Her current tour to promote her most recent studio album, “Circus,” is her first since 2004, and has been well received by fans and critics.

The new single scored a No. 1 chart debut, the first since Taylor Hicks’ 2006 hit “Do I Make You Proud.” It’s also the first tune other than an “American Idol” song to debut at No. 1 in almost 11 years.

In all, Spears has sold more than 63 million albums worldwide since her debut as a teen pop singer in 1998. Her first release “Baby One More Time” in 1998 has become a pop standard

Five of her albums debuted at No. 1 and she’s reached the No. 1 spot on the singles chart 23 times. Her new single and album are released by Sony record label Jive.
