Bruce Springsteen put his daughter Jessica on the map, pulling her on stage for “Dancin’ in the Dark,” just like he did for Courtney Cox in his 1984 video for the song.

Springsteen, 62, is in Europe on his Wrecking Ball tour and was playing at the Palais Omnisports Bercy arena in Paris.

He seemed to shock his 20-year-old daughter when he signaled for a stagehand to direct her to some stairs leading to the stage.

Dad was there waiting, guitar slung over her back. He took her by the hand and led her to a ramp leading out into the audience. He gestured to the audience and mouthed the words “She’s mine!” More than 10,000 fans went wild at the scene.

She seemed astonished and couldn’t stop giggling as he led her through some dance moves. She is the second of Springsteen’s three children. Their mother is Patti Scialfa, a long-time member of the E Street Band, who married Bruce in 1991.

They also have two sons Evan James Springsteen, who was born in 1991, and Samuel Ryan Springsteen, who was born in 1994.

Mom Patti, playing guitar, moved to the edge of a raised platform where the band was playing as her daughter climbed the stairs. She gestured to the audience pointing to herself and Jessica. She mouthed the words “Mine, too!”

She looked on as Bruce picked up his daughter in her arms and turned to the audience. Jessica was dressed casually in skin-tight blue jeans, ankle boots and a loose white cotton blouse with a black vest.

Springsteen wrote “Dancin’ in the Dark” for his Born in the U.S.A. Bruce’s seventh studio album. It yielded seven Top 10 singles and was hailed by critics.

Jessica has no plans to follow in her father’s footsteps on stage. She is a champion horse rider, who is on the reserve list to represent the USA at the 2012 Olympics.
