Gyllenhaal, 36, plays Nessa Stein, Baroness Stein of Tilbury, an Anglo-Israeli businesswoman who gets involved in international intrigue set against the Middle East conflict.
Hugo Blick directed the series for the BBC and Sundance TV.
The show debuted on BBC Two in Great Britain earlier this month and will begin airing on SundanceTV here on July 31.
Sarah Barnett, president of the Sundance Channel called the series “a superbly wrought character piece about hope, compromise, guilt and families,” in an interview earlier this year with the UK’s Guardian newspaper.

Barnett was at the screening along with Gyllenhaal an her husband Peter Sarsgaard. Other guests included Food Channel chef Padmka Lakshmi.
Gyllenhaal said she plans to star next in a period movie written by her husband. “He’s about two-thirds through the script,” Gyllenhaal told The Wall Street Journal in a recent interview. “We want to make it super super low-budget. It takes place in 1904.”
The screening was held at the the Crosby Street Hotel, Wednesday (July 23).
Maggie wore a Roland Mouret ‘Hornet’ halter dress from the Fall 2014 Collection. She kept her makeup simple and natural with a shiny lip gloss to had a touch of glamour.
