In a reckless movie possibly timed to cynically divert attention from his growing Russia scandal, Donald Trump claimed today in a series of Tweets that President Obama “wiretapped” his campaign offices prior to the election. The remark caused a political firestorm and led to questions about Trump’s sanity. After a rough week that saw Attorney General Jeff Sessions recuse himself from a Justice Department investigation into Russia’s election interference, Trump out of the blue published the Tweets at the ungodly hour of 3:35 a.m. this morning....

New York Joins Law Suit Against Trump’s Order Banning Muslims From U.S.

New York is the latest state to join a federal lawsuit seeking to declare President Trump’s Muslim ban unconstitutional. The measure is detrimental to “the economic welfare, health, and well-being of its citizenry; and the interests of New York’s employers, hospitals, and educational institutions,” according to the suit. Mass Muslim Ban Halted On ‘Likelihood’ Executive Order Unconstitutional

Donald Trump’s sweeping executive order targeting Muslim refugees from Syria, who are arriving in the United States suffered what could be a fatal blow in Federal District Court in New York City today. A judge blocked enforcement of the order until a full hearing can be held.
