    The Foo Fighters kicked off their Sonic Highways Tour in Brisbane, Australia today (Feb. 25) marking the band’s 20th anniversary in front of a crowd estimated at 50,000 fans. Foo frontman Dave Grohl, former drummer for grunge band Nirvana, set the mood right off the bat. The 25-song set list yielded some classic Foo Fighters songs and the band jammed liberally on a number of them.     Singer Leslie Gore, a Voice for Teens and Early Feminism, Dies at 68

    Leslie Gore, an American singer-songwriter who withstood the British invasion in music in the 1960s and penned classic teen anthem “It’s My Party,” has died of cancer, her longtime partner said today. She was 68. Gore died Monday (Feb. 15) at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. She was discovered by Quincy Jones and signed to Mercury where she had her first hit song "It's My Party," in 1963....

    Michelangelo is primarily known as a sculptor by his works in marble. But two statues that have existed under the noses of art historians for years are possibly the only examples of his work in bronze to survive the centuries, art experts said today. The statues of nude men riding panthers have been known to art historians for a century or more and once were attributed to the great master.
