George Harrison: A Look Back at His Career on His 72nd Birthday (video)

George Harrison was unquestionably the Beatle I really wanted to meet. Who could forget his early songs like “Taxman” and “Blue Jay Way,” or his lasting contribution to human rights. He would have been 72 today had he survive lung cancer that took his life in 2001 at the age of 58. I met John Lennon, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney, but Harrison eluded me. He was full of intrigue and complexity and almost dared you to like him. His brilliant 1970 Concert For Bangladesh set the standard for charity shows. Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Jim Keltner, Jesse Ed Davis, Klaus Vorman, half-of Badfinger, Ringo, Billy Preston and horn-men Tom Scott and Jim Horn were there, led by George....

Michelangelo Sculpted Bronze Statues, New Evidence Suggests

Michelangelo is primarily known as a sculptor by his works in marble. But two statues that have existed under the noses of art historians for years are possibly the only examples of his work in bronze to survive the centuries, art experts said today. The statues of nude men riding panthers have been known to art historians for a century or more and once were attributed to the great master. If true, the find would be “phenomenally important,” according to one art historian....

What the Hell Happened to Mariah Carey? Major Lip-Sync Fail (watch!)

Mariah Carey must have had something her mind… make that a lot on her mind. She lost her concentration repeatedly while lip-synching at the 2015 Jazz and Blues Festival in Jamaica, Friday (Jan. 30), and at times looked bewildered, botching words and singing off time. It was probably her biggest performance fail yet in a recent string of embarrassing performances.
