Rihanna chose a minimalist look for the video. It’s mainly just her, half-naked, against a white backdrop. Who could ask for more?

Collaborators Kanye and ex-Beatle McCartney make appearances as well. Kanye sings and McCartney plays guitar.

The sexy ballad has a definite rock vibe almost tending to folk-rock, which likely reflects McCartney’s influence.

The song is the first single from Rihanna’s highly-anticipated eighth studio album. In February a year ago DreamWorks Animation Chief Executive Jeffrey Katzenberg announced that Rihanna would release a concept album based on the 3D animated film “Home.”

Rihanna wears a denim shirt from West’s Sean John collection with nothing underneath, of course. The shirt held together with a belt slides perilously around her shoulders, verging on a nip slip.

“Kanye came up with the idea of doing just some real street denim, All-American type look… Denim never goes out of style. It’s iconic, just like the f*cking Beatles,” she said.

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who are renown for their fashion photography, were the directors on the shoot.

Rihanna, West, and McCartney will premiere the song for the first time at this weekend’s Grammy Awards. West has been nominated for two Grammys, and Rihanna has been nominated for one.
