  • rihanna-rockstar-frontRihanna ratchets up the war of raunch with Lady Gaga, Christina Aguliera and Beyonce in her latest video for single Rockstar 101. The video is laced with lots of sexy writhing and risqué barely there outfits.

The pop queens have all released videos in the past month and a half that take sexual provocation to a whole new level.

But Rihanna seems determined not to lose her perch among the divas.

The music style is also still heavily rock influence, a trend that began with her comeback album after she was viciously beaten by ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

As if to make her sojourn into hard rock perfectly clear, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker makes a cameo in the promo in Rihanna’s rock band.

And, Rihanna also does a fairly spot on impersonation of former Guns ‘N’ Roses guitarist Slash, who played guitar on the track. Although she could also pass for Harpo Marx.

Slash says Rihanna begged him to appear in the video with her, but he was too tired after completing his latest album.

“The video is way better with her being me than with me being me,” he said.

‘All things considered, it brings an element of sexuality to it that I probably wouldn’t have been capable of. I think it’s hot, and I sent her a text this morning telling her it was definitely hotter with her doing it than with me doing it,” he added.

The album Rockstar 101 is scheduled for release later this summer after her next single “Te Amo.”

Rihanna’s 62-date tour kicked off in Belgium last month and will finish in Syracuse, New York on August 28.
