Lorde was wearing more than a gown at the Grammys last night. A secret message containing a radical feminist essay was sewn into the hem of her dress. She says it explains why she didn’t wear a white rose. So why did she refuse to perform? Lorde was protesting in other ways as well. She was fuming over a Grammy snub. The New Zealand singer ditched the white rose, symbolizing the Time’s Up movement, worn by the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Lana Del Rey....

Lorde and Charli XCX look like they’re ready to own the 2018 VO5 NME Awards. They’ve each been nominated four times, with both competing for Best Track. Dua Lipa received three nods; Best British Solo Artist and Best Track and Best Video for “New Rules.” Alt-J, Kasabian, Wolf Alice, The 1975, The xx and Bastille will battle it out for Best British Band. Haim, The National, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Paramore and Migos were all nominated in the Best International Band category. Cranberries Singer Dolores O’Riordan Dead at 46, Drug Overdose Suspected

Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer for the Irish rock group The Cranberries, died suddenly in a London hotel and early indications suggest it was due to a drug overdose. The cause of death will have to be determined by an autopsy. The Cranberries were forced to cancel tour dates in 2017 because of O’Riordan was suffering from back problems,” according to the Irish Times....
