Lady Gaga wore dress made out of Kermit the Frog puppets in 2009.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta,, scolded animal rights activists, calling them “childish” and even gave a shout out to Kardashian.

The reality star has been the target of repeated protests for wearing fur and selling it in her clothing boutiques. In a dramatic gesture, widely condemned for its radical nature, she was flour bombed on the red carpet during a promotion of one of her fragrances.

Apparently Gaga is taken aback not so much by the issue of animal rights, but the tactics employed by PETA, also known as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

“I want you to know that I care deeply about your feelings and views, and I will always support your philosophies about life. “I do not however support violent, abusive, and childish campaigns for ANY CAUSE,” she wrote on her Web site. “Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry. And Kim Kardashian is fabulous.”

Gaga’s support of animal rights only goes so far, however. “I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, ‘Kermit’ and not to mention meat, that I have already worn,” she declared.

The “Kermit” remark referred to her 2009 appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards dressed like Sesame Street’s Kermit the Frog, who was her date.

“This should already put me in a category as one who appreciates and adores the beauty of animals in fashion,” she said. “But this does not mean my morals are rigid, and that I won’t bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat. I have no chains about this.

“You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance.”

Many of her fans, however, saw disappointment and disgust.

“The Little Monster is turning out to be you, Lady Gaga. You wear fur as if it were a statement of superiority. It’s not.”
