Monkee Micky Dolenz Drops Song From Upcoming Album (Listen!)

Monkees singer Micky Dolenz has dropped a track from his upcoming album Remember. Titled “Randy Scouse Git,” it’s the first song he ever wrote that made it onto the charts in 1967. Bandmate Peter Tork calls it one of his favorite Monkees songs. Dolenz, 67, wrote the song after a party the Beatles threw for Monkees band members, which also included lead singer Davy Jones and guitarist Michael Nesmith. The song was also featured on “The Monkees” tv show and was originally a track on the band’s album Headquarters....

Justin Bieber is promoting a new music video for “Find You Somewhere,” a song featuring DJ AcE and Willow and Jaden Smith, the children of Hollywood power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. For the uninitiated, AcE is Will and Jaden’s older brother Trey Smith, making this production a true family affair. Frank Ocean continues his sold run on “Saturday Night Live” with a new video for his song “Pyramids.” Ocean’s rising career follows years when he worked as a songwriter for such artists as Brandy, Justin Bieber and John Legend. Ocean, 24, had his coming out party, so to speak, on SNL last weekend. He performed two songs, “Thinking About You” and a shortened version of “Pyramids.” His debut studio album, Channel Orange, was released in July as a digital download exclusively on iTunes and was released as a CD the following week.
