    Peter Gabriel’s classic album So was featured in a compelling behind-the-scenes documentary in October and has just been released on DVD by Eagle Rock Entertainment. I have to say, it’s one of the best behind-the-scenes compilations I’ve ever seen. Gabriel’s smash album contained many of his most beloved songs including “Sledgehammer” and “In Your Eyes.” Released in 1986, it was his fifth studio album and seventh album overall. So became the best-selling album of Gabriel’s career and went five-times platinum in the U.S., selling more than 5 million copies. It was also his first experiment with pop music, albeit “on his own terms,” he once said....

    Steven Spielberg led cast, crew, and special guests at Grauman’s Chinese Theater, in Hollywood at the closing night Gala screening of his new motion picture “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. At a separate screening at the Ziegfeld Theatre Wed. (Nov 14) in New York City, Anne Hathaway, who turned 30 last week, was joined by Spielberg and stars, Sally Field and Daniel Day-Lewis. It will be released this month (Nov. 19) and is already causing a stir. The 24-year-old singer released a track list earlier this week and revealed that she and Brown would duet on the song. Orozco’s vast collection of detritus is showcased in a thought-provoking new exhibit at the Guggenheim Museum. “Gabriel Orozco’s Asterisms” is a sculptural and photographic installation comprising thousands of items the artist gathered from an athletic field in New York and a protected coastal biosphere in Mexico.
